Dragunity Duelists use a small number of Dragunity monsters to make tons of Synchro Summons! With the ability to Summon Stardust Dragon
as early as turn 1, and the potential to play a Level 8 Synchro Monster
ever turn after, they’re 1 of the toughest Decks to Duel against in
today’s tournaments. Dragunities are 1 of those strategies you need to
know about, so let’s bring you up to speed on how the Deck works.

This is the key combo for any Dragunity Duelist, because it leads to a Level 8 Synchro Summon. When you Normal Summon Dragunity Dux, you can equip it with a Level 3 or lower Dragon-Type Dragunity from your Graveyard. Dragunity Phalanx
is 1 of the Dragons you can equip, and when it’s attached to a monster
you can Special Summon it. Phalanx is a Level 2 Tuner, so you can
Normal Summon Dux, equip Phalanx, Special Summon it, and Tune it to Dux
to Synchro Summon Dragunity Knight – Vajrayana.

Vajrayana’s effect is alot like Dux’s: when Vajrayana’s Synchro
Summoned, you can equip it with a low-level “Dragunity” Dragon like
Phalanx. That means you can Special Summon the same Phalanx again, on
the same turn. Special Summon Phalanx, and you can Tune it to Vajrayana
to call forth Stardust Dragon, or another Level 8 like Scrap Dragon or Thought Ruler Archfiend.
This combo is the lynchpin of the Dragunity strategy: not many
opponents can beat a Deck that can Synchro Summon a Level 8 monster
every turn.

To keep making Synchro Summons, you need to keep Summoning copies of Dragunity Dux! Dragon Ravine
is a Field Spell with 2 effects. Once per turn, you can discard any
card as a cost. Then, you choose to either send a Dragon from your
Deck to your Graveyard, or add a Level 4 or lower “Dragunity” monster
from your Deck to your hand. Ravine lets you trade any card you don’t
need for another Dux. You can even discard Dragunity Phalanx to get it into the Graveyard for your combo, or you can search for Phalanx if you didn’t draw it in your opening hand.

The best part about this combo is that once you control Dragon Ravine and Synchro Summon Stardust Dragon,
you can protect the Ravine with Stardust’s effect. If your opponent
tries to destroy your Field Spell, you can Tribute Stardust to protect
Ravine, and Special Summon Stardust back in your End Phase. Your first
Synchro Summon helps you make the rest of your Synchro Summons.

Dragunity Dux isn’t the only trick this Deck has. Dragunity Legionnaire
is a Level 3 Winged Beast-type with an equip effect like Dux’s: you can
use it with Phalanx to make a Level 5 Synchro Summon. But Legionnaire
packs another effect: you can send a “Dragunity” monster from your back
row to your Graveyard to destroy 1 of your opponent’s face-up monsters.

Dragunity Aklys is another
Dragon-type Dragunity, and it’s a great combo with Legionnaire. When
Aklys is sent to the Graveyard, its controller gets to destroy a card on
the field. Normal Summon Legionnaire, equip Aklys, and you can destroy
up to 2 cards. Send Aklys to the Graveyard for Legionnaire’s effect to
destroy a monster. Then, use Aklys’ ability to destroy another card.
You’ll still have Legionnaire for a direct attack, and you can use it
for a Synchro Material or a Tribute for Icarus Attack later.

Those are just some of the combos that define the Dragunity strategy. Look deeper, and you’ll find more tricks with cards like Dragunity Mystletainn, and more plays with Dragunity Aklys, Dragunity Dux, and Dragunity Knight – Vajrayana. The Dragunity Deck can be really straightforward, but it’s also a versatile strategy that can adapt to defeat your opponents.
